SAA Brings Booths Penrith A Step Further With Detailed Permission
Steven Abbott Associates LLP (SAA) has brought Booths’ plans for a new store in Penrith a step closer with achievement of detailed planning permission.
The scheme for Booths (Penrith) Ltd, a joint venture between Booths and Maple Grove Developments, secured outline permission earlier this year and will comprise a Booths store and a further complementary retail unit on completion.
The latest decision from Eden Council follows the submission of detailed plans for the development, produced by architects Damson Design, with planning consultancy support from SAA.
Steven Abbott from SAA commented: “Booths and Maple Grove have worked together for many years, bringing high quality developments to town centres across the North West. Penrith will be no exception; the plans for the new store are ambitious but typify the sensitivity with which the partners work to ensure their developments are in keeping with, and enhance their surroundings.
“We are delighted, once again, to have played a key role in securing permission for another Booths store and look forward to moving forward with the scheme.”
SAA has advised both Booths and Maple Grove on a number of developments over recent years, including retail and residential schemes in Ripon, Kendal, Ilkley and Chorley.
Booths’ full team of advisers on the scheme included Napthens LLP, Turner Lowe Associates and Robert Pinkus.
