Steven Abbott Associates Helps Chorley Family
Steven Abbott Associates (SAA) has obtained planning permission on behalf of a Chorley based family; allowing them to expand their business and their home to better suit their needs.
SAA has a wide portfolio of clients with a variety of interests in the region and beyond but has been happy to look after smaller, private clients too. One of these comprises Mr and Mrs Martland who needed to secure planning permission for a new home on a site owned by Michael’s parents.
The couple and their three young children have been living in a caravan on the family sheep farm for over ten years, and a new house was desperately required to allow the family to continue to live and work on the family land.
The site is located on Green Belt land, so the application had to comply with the stringent planning policies in place for the development of agricultural worker’s dwellings. As such SAA undertook extensive pre-application discussions with Planning Officers at Chorley Council to ensure all policies were complied with. SAA were grateful of the approval of the application by the members of the Planning Committee.
Such permissions are notoriously difficult to secure and SAA is delighted with the result which will allow the family to expand their business and raise their family in a sustainable environment.
The architect involved on the project was Tom Lockwood from Croston, Chorley.
