Planning Permission Granted for Housing in St Helens

 

St Helens Housing Scheme

Steven Abbott Associates LLP (SAA), has secured planning permission for just under 200 houses on a site in St Helens.

Outline permission was granted by St Helens Council’s Planning Committee for the redevelopment of a former industrial site off Reginald Road.

SAA undertook detailed pre-application discussions with both local residents and council members to ensure that an appropriate scheme was produced.

The level of affordable housing was reduced to ensure that the scheme is deliverable, following negotiations between the Local Planning Authority and the applicant team.

SAA Partner Richard Percy said:

“We are pleased that the application was approved by the committee at the first time of asking and this points to the excellent relationship we maintain with St Helens Council’s officers and members.”

The site is now expected to be made available for the market in due course.
