Claire Wilkinson

Claire is an experienced Chartered Town Planner having worked within the profession for almost 16 years since 2004 and becoming a member of the RTPI in 2013. She began her career in the planning department at West Lancashire Borough Council and spent 12 years’ there before moving into private practice, working for 3 years’ as an Associate in a multi-disciplinary consultancy in the North West.

She joined Steven Abbott Associates in April 2020 and is a very welcome addition to our team.

Claire deals with all areas of planning, with a particular specialism in Green Belt and rural planning. Claire’s other specialisms including the preparation and management of complex planning applications, often involving public consultation, negotiation with public bodies and statutory consultees. Claire is also very experienced in dealing with Green Belt and rural planning issues.

Claire’s combined local planning authority and consultancy experience is instrumental when advising clients on their planning requirements.
